
Biography
Carina Lin has been providing academic, career, and personal counseling at various community colleges in California since 2006. Her educational background is a Master of Science degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Career Counseling from CSU, Northridge, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems, and a minor in Psychology from Oregon State University.
Carina has a master career counselor (MCC) membership level at the National Career Development Association (NCDA.org). She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC.org), and certified to administer and interpret the Strong Interest Inventory (SII) and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) career assessments trained and certified by The Myers- Briggs Company (themyersbriggs.com) formerly CPP.com.
Prior to making a career transition to a counseling profession, Carina was in careers such as Computer Helpdesk Support, Information Technology Recruiter, Interpreter, and a Sales Representative.
Mission
“My mission is to help people discover their career passions.” Carina believes people are born with talents and have strong desire to do something that they really love and enjoy doing. The biggest challenge is discovering their hidden talents and connecting them to professions that appreciate their combine interests and talents. She loves to help people discover their talents and connecting them to careers that express their interests.
Researched showed that it takes at least ten years to master a skill or be an expert in a specific field, why not invest time to learn what you love and can do?
